Carob biscuits
A healthy but good and simple recipe to prepare
The basic ingredient is our beloved carob rich in properties and with an unmistakable taste.
The biscuits we offer will satisfy even the most demanding palates and can be consumed both for your breakfast, but they are also an excellent alternative for your children's snack.
Ingredients:
- 100 g of carob flour
- 200 g of flour 00
- 1 egg
- 60 g of softened butter
- 75 g of cane sugar
- a teaspoon of cinnamon
- a teaspoon of yeast
- some milk
- a pinch of salt
- For garnish: dark chocolate or white chocolate or icing sugar.
Procedure
Let's start by kneading the butter, the egg, sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Mix the flour separately 00 and the carob flour with the teaspoon of yeast. Add the flour mix little by little to the previously obtained dough, alternating it with a few drops of milk.
Continue kneading until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a lightly floured surface and cut your biscuits with the cutters you prefer
Bake in a static oven 200 degrees for 15 minutes;
Once ready, decorate them as you like with dark white chocolate or simple icing sugar.
